Here’s what you need to do to participate in the competition:
Register for the UCI Conference
Anyone who attends the annual UCI Conference can enter the competition. No entry fees! Just register for the conference first, if you haven't already.
Submit Your Entry
You may enter one project into each category — so make sure it’s your best project.
Categories:
- Internal communications
Pieces for internal audiences—employees, managers, directors, etc.—including internal newsletters, informational pieces, posters, handouts, quarterly reports, videos, training materials, and more. - Paid campaign
Any campaign that includes paid media or direct mail tactics, supporting any objective or channel (e.g. brand, safety, customer care, corporate citizenship, etc.). - Owned, earned or shared campaign
Efforts designed to inform or engage audiences through owned, earned, or shared channels (e.g., bill inserts, news media, social content, etc.). - Creative assets or collateral
Individual pieces such as booklets, annual reports, collateral materials, bill inserts, websites, social media content, office environments, events, photography, and more.
Prepare Your Pitch
Pitch your entry to the group LIVE at the conference! You’ll have one minute to give the attendees an elevator pitch of your project. Any videos entered as part of your pitch will be played for up to 60 seconds. Each pitch, with content played, will be limited to three minutes max.
We won’t tell you what to say, but we would love to know:
- What were you trying to accomplish?
- How and why did you execute your communications the way you did?
- Why are you proud of this work?
Vote and Celebrate!
Everyone in attendance at the conference will vote for their favorite in a real-time, online ballot.
On Thursday evening, all conference attendees are invited to the BCC Awards Ceremony where the votes will be tallied and the winners revealed. We’ll make a toast to the winners and celebrate everyone’s accomplishments!
